Which free tunic patterns come in plus sizes?
Of the 38 here, the ones that keep going past a standard 16 are the Mood patterns (their chart runs to a US 30), Sinclair's Sandy (XS–4XL, and again in petite and tall), Love Notions' Laundry Day Tee (XS–5X), Ellie and Mac's To The Point (XXS–5XL) and Seamwork's Sorbetto (US 0–26). Several free patterns stop at a 16 or 20 without saying so anywhere on the page — that is why the size column below is filled in by hand, and why it says Not stated rather than guessing when the designer never wrote it down.
Which ones can I get without handing over an email address?
9 of 38. Those go straight to a PDF, a Google Drive folder or a Dropbox file. The rest email you the link, or make you run a $0 checkout first. Neither is wrong — a mailing list is often the only thing a designer gets back for giving a pattern away — but it is worth knowing before you start rather than after.
Can I avoid taping forty sheets of paper together?
Only if the pattern ships a large-format file, and 6 of 38 do. A0 or copy-shop files print as one or a few big sheets; a projector file you trace straight onto fabric with no printing at all. Almost every free blog pattern is home-printer tiles only, and almost none of them say so. Where a designer lists their file formats and no large-format file is among them, the column below reads Not listed.
